Romare Bearden Park

Named after local artist and collage-maker, this 5.4 acre park is a delight to visit. Stroll through the two formal gardens and take in the stunning waterfall. You'll also find plenty of benches and tables for picnicking. If you're looking to get some exercise, the park offers walking and running trails as well as a state-of-the-art amphitheater where live music is hosted all throughout the year.



Frank Liske Park

This pristine 4.6-acre green space is one of Charlotte's newest parks, but it holds its own against classics like Romare Bearden and Freedom Park. Located just off the 7th Street Public Market light-rail stop, the park features a fountain and climbing equipment as well as public restrooms. Just across the road, you'll find 7th Street Public Market where you can grab acai bowls, wine and pizza to complete your day in the park.


BB&T Ballpark

There is no better way to experience a Charlotte Knights game than to go to the ballpark and watch from the roof deck seating area. You'll see the action of the field and the buzzing cityscape all at once. The game-day experience will be an event you'll remember for years to come.


Freedom Park

The largest of Uptown's four parks, this 98-acre greenspace boasts a lake surrounded by lush parklands and beautiful gardens. It's a great spot for picnicking, jogging, cycling and more. The park also hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, from free family-friendly concerts to food and beverage festivals.


ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center
